The Full Story
I'm currently 22 and I've been building things since I was a kid, with my first profit coming from a Costco muffin arbitrage run in 2nd grade. At 14, I was constructing high voltage tasers. At 15, I earned my Eagle Scout by securing a $34,000 donation of novels for veterans across Nevada and D.C. At 16, I designed and built hovercrafts in college. By 17, I graduated with an Associates in Applied Science. By 21, I had both a mechanical engineering degree (with aerospace and math minors) and an MBA, both with honors.
That trajectory led me to Astra Space, where I've had the opportunity of working and learning directly with CEO Chris Kemp on special projects: managing a 60,000+ square foot factory liquidation with ITAR compliance, conducting market analysis for satellite propulsion systems, supporting investor due diligence, redesigning factory floor operations to reduce production waste, and hot firing a rocket.
Before Astra, I co-founded Herbal Ape, a direct to consumer supplement company that taught me everything about building from zero to cash flow positive: product formulation, supply chain management, multi-channel advertising, and customer acquisition.
I'm currently a fellow with 1752 VC (formerly Pegasus), exploring defense technology, plasma, detonation engines, and American re-industrialization. My conviction is simple: America needs to build more. We need sovereign supply chains, advanced manufacturing capabilities, and the technical depth to compete with near peer adversaries.
I come from a family of service members, government officials, and entrepreneurs. My interest in defense technology isn't opportunistic, it's foundational. The IED detector I proposed at age 8 might not have worked perfectly, but the problem it tried to solve still drives me today: how do we protect American soldiers and maintain technological superiority?
When I'm not building (which is rare), you'll find me restoring cars (I've built a 2020 WRX, 1975 Datsun 280z, and 1970 Pontiac Tempest), training towards a 400lb bench press, long range shooting, or drumming. I'm engaged to my fiancée who's currently applying to graduate programs for Marine Biology, and we're planning our wedding for 2027.
I'm based between the Bay Area and Reno, and I'm always interested in talking with people building hard things in defense, space, or tech. Reach out anytime!
